stellanovis asked: Hey guys! A little feedback on your comments about the limitations the show when it comes to death. I think Korra really steps up creatively by using imprisonment or taking bending away to signal that a character is going to be seen less. Plus with the violence restrictions, characters can come back easily. It's like when a low budget movie makes up for it with good, thought out writing and becomes a cult classic. The "kid's show" limitations make Korra creative and unique! Love your podcast! -A

The closer we get to the end of the season, the less likely a character death looks. But - dang! - so many people are getting their bending taken away. At some point while discussing this earlier I had mentioned that the removal of bending is being treated like death in this series.

That being said, I wonder if Mako/Bolin getting stripped is powerful enough or if they’re willing to go for the gut-punch and take away Korra’s bending.

If the Avatar can’t bend, they’re still technically The Avatar, right? Since it all has to do with re-incaration?
