Republic city dispatch made a general request during transmission.
Amon breaking Lin’s back, like Bane and Batman…
I couldn’t resist.
Im sorry
Wow! A discussion on the similarities between this week’s “Turning the Tides” and The Dark Knight Rises lead to a silly suggestion for a sketch of Amon as Bane breaking Korra’s back (a la Batman’s Knightfall), but Republic City Dispatch commenter silvermoonphantom made it happen. And impressively so. Amazing!
Here’s the original pic for reference:

Great!
Except isn’t the one on the middle left Sokka’s “Water Tribe.” Why is your Amon repping the Water Tribe? Do you know something we don’t? : )
So during the whole Animenext weekend I tagged along with Legend of Korra’s mysterious cast out of the whole series. This is the end result.
So much last minute planning & editing & work went into these(mostly because I don’t do this alot). I really hope you’ll get a laugh out of these gifs. <3
Amon: Vee
Korra: Kyosha
Cameo appearances…
Lazy Homestuck Cosplayer: Ariel
Ice Queen: Andrea

Non-canonical, but great. Thanks cosplay, you make everything happen.
While trying to come up with a Mako outfit, I have discovered that asymmetrical shoulder-button coats with collars and tails do not exist.
Hmmmmmm. At least my eyebrows are ready to go.
When Chi-Blockers Meet.
Ty Lee does not approve. >:/
(I’m Ty Lee, Amon is that guy I’m dating. XD)

REPUBLIC CITY DISPATCH #7: BONUS EPISODE!
BE FOREWARNED - Discussion includes Avatar: The Last Airbender, Chapters 1-7 of The Legend of Korra and could expand to include The Promise (Part One), Nick.com’s “Welcome To Republic City” at any time.

Good Morning Benders and Non-Benders alike and Welcome to The Republic City Dispatch, a radio programme covering Nickelodeon’s Legend of Korra series. This week: a special bonus episode while time stands still in Republic City. This episode goes out to Air Temple Island with this special message from our listeners: “Korra, Tenzin, Mako, Bolin, Pabu, Naga, Assami, Pema, Jinora, Ikki, Meelo - everyone take a moment to relax!” It’s time for Matt, Da7e and Devindra!
This week-without-and-episode, we talk about internet fandom and how it relates to criticism, how we got involved in online fandom, if it’s fair to apply straight criticism to Korra before it is over - PLUS - a Lightning Round covering our most frequently asked questions and posed theories and each member of the podcast has something you should check out to tide you over until next Saturday when Korra returns (or that’s what it looks like - that’s on the podcast too).
Hosted by Devindra Hardawar of the /Filmcast and Da7e and Matt Patches of Operation Kino.

Good Morning Benders and Non-Benders alike - SKKKKRRRTT! - Hello free non-benders of Republic City. Welcome to The Republic City Dispatch, a revolutionary radio programme covering Nickelodeon’s Legend of Korra series. This week on “The Aftermath,” Too long have the weak willed metal-benders under Chief Beifong held down the bending population. Too long have we falsely placed our hope in The Avatar. We promise you a new world, and Equal world, where even the most vicious benders can be met in combat by our technology. And now, the voices of the revolution, Matt, Da7e and Devindra!
Hosted by Devindra Hardawar of the /Filmcast and Da7e and Matt Patches of Operation Kino.

“As far as the idea that Korra is not the avatar. I do not think the show creators would flat out lie to everyone. When introducing the show, they said that it followed the new avatar, Korra. I do not think they would have called her the avatar if that were not the case. Also, I can’t believe that she would be the only person to be able to bend multiple elements without being the avatar. Unrelated, I like the idea that Asami is related to Amon in some way. The dynamic kind of the reverse of Zuko.”
